Single-User License

Purchasing a 1-User or Single-User License for a specific plug-in allows you to use that plug-in with FileMaker Pro/Pro Advanced on one computer.

Multiuser License

Purchasing a Multiuser License for a specific plug-in allows you to use that plug-in with FileMaker Pro/Pro Advanced on more than one computer in your company, up to the number of “users” you purchase. In other words, if you purchase a 10-User License, you can use that license on 10 machines.

World License

Purchasing a World License for a specific plug-in allows you to use that plug-in with FileMaker Pro/Pro Advanced on any computer in your company anywhere in the world. A World License also comes with a free Server License to use the plug-in with FileMaker Pro Server/Server Advanced.

Server License

For plug-ins that have a Sever Edition (not all do) that do not currently work with FileMaker Server 13, purchasing a license with 10 or more users, including a World License or a Developer license, will allow you to use the Server Edition plug-in with FileMaker Pro Server/Server Advanced. The Server License in this scenario is built into the licenses mentioned above, and there is not a separate Server only license. The number of computers directly or indirectly accessing the plug-in through FileMaker Pro Server/Server Advanced is unlimited.

For plug-ins that do work with FileMaker Server 13, purchasing a Server License for a specific plug-in allows you to use that plug-in with FileMaker Pro Server/Server Advanced. This allows you to use the plug-in with Scheduled Scripts, Instant/Custom Web Publishing, and WebDirect. The number of computers directly or indirectly accessing the plug-in through FileMaker Pro Server/Server Advanced is unlimited.

Developer’s License

Purchasing a Developer’s License for a specific plug-in allows you to redistribute that plug-in, royalty free, with your locked or bound solution(s) to be used with FileMaker Pro/Pro Advanced and/or FileMaker Pro Server/Server Advanced. This license is for developers who will be distributing or selling their solution(s) to customers/clients outside of their company.
