Fort Worth, TX, January 19, 2008 -- Comm-Unity Networking Systems releases an update to POP3it Pro which includes speed and usability improvements to the Check Account functionality as well as core plug-in updates and bug fixes. POP3it Pro continues to be the easiest plug-in for downloading email directly into a FileMaker® Pro database with little to no scripting necessary in its most basic mode. POP3it Pro is available immediately at http://pop3itpro.cnsplug-ins.com/ for both Mac OS® X and Windows®.
Description
POP3it Pro allows you to connect to a POP3 Email Server and download email directly into your FileMaker Pro database. The plug-in also allows you to import email directly from the mailbox storage files of popular email clients like Thunderbird, Eudora, and Apple Mail. With the advanced plug-in architecture of FileMaker Pro 7 and above, POP3it Pro has the freedom to work with your email databases like never before. It's entirely possible to add email downloading capabilities to your databases without writing a single script.

A 1-User License for the client version of POP3it Pro is $65. To use the Server Edition of POP3it Pro, you will need to purchase at least a 10-User License. A 10-User License is $319. There are several other price points on the purchase page for the plug-in.
If you currently own a license of POP3it Pro 4.0 or above, this is a free upgrade. All you need to do is download the latest version and install it. Your existing registration and settings will be imported into the new version.

- Modified the Auto Check code to only initiate the check if the user has been idle for a while to make it less interruptive.
- Fixed a bug dealing with adding an account and then immediately changing it.
- Fixed a bug with Developer Passwords.
- Fixed a bug where IsConnected could incorrectly report that it was connected.
- Imported core plug-in updates from other CNS Plug-ins.
- Improved speed and resource usage in the Check Account function.
- Fixed a low level networking issue on Windows.
